using evacuation lifts

Fire/emergency evacuation training using designated lifts

Contrary to popular belief, certain types of lifts can be used to evacuate persons of limited mobility in the event of a fire. This course enables nominated persons to use designated lifts, such as evacuation and firefighting lifts, to evacuate personnel during an emergency.

The course is held on the client’s site in accordance with the fire response risk assessment and procedure for the premises so that candidates are trained on the lift equipment they will use in the event of a fire or emergency evacuation.  Each candidate receives a certificate of competency along with a manual giving clear instructions on rescue procedures applicable to the lift equipment on site.
